Ouagadougou, February 16 (QNA) : Ten people were killed in a series of armed attacks on military sites in northern and eastern Burkina Faso.

Security sources reported that an armed group targeted a military site in Titao, the capital of Loroum Province, in the north of the country.

The sources added that an armed group launched an attack on a military detachment in Bilanga in the east, noting that a large part of the detachment was vandalized, and approximately 10 soldiers and civilian military personnel were killed.

Since 2015, Burkina Faso has witnessed frequent attacks carried out by armed groups linked to Al-Qaeda, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians and military personnel, more than half of them in the last three years.
