Bhairahawa (Rupandehi), Dec 15: Two persons died in a road accident at Bhairahawa-Parasi road section of Rupandehi this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Raju Harijan, 21, and Rohit Yadav, 23, of Omsatiya rural municipality-3, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Karki. The accident took place when a motorcycle (Ga 11 Pa 8625) heading towards Bhairahawa from Parasi hit a parked truck with Indian number plate (HR 55 W 031) at Parasijhuwa along the Bhairahawa-Parasi section.
Critically injured Raju and Rohit died in course of treatment at Bhairahawa-based Universal College of Medical Sciences, added Karki. Police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
