New Delhi, May 24, 2026 : Nepal’s prominent businessman and only dollar billionaire, Binod Chaudhary, along with his son Varun Chaudhary, participated in a high-profile reception held at the Roosevelt House, the official residence of the U.S. Ambassador in New Delhi.
The event was hosted by U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor in honor of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is currently visiting India.
The Chaudharys represented Nepal’s private sector at the gathering.

India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar was also present, along with senior government officials, diplomats, and leading business figures.
Rubio’s visit to India centers on deepening bilateral ties between India and the United States, with key discussions focused on strategic cooperation, trade, technology, regional security, and economic collaboration.
The reception highlighted the strengthening India-U.S. partnership and the growing importance of private sector involvement in regional economic ties.
